Mind Readers could be as common place as cell phones
Scientists have made huge strides lately in understanding how the brain works. A recent CNN report from the Gallant group finds: FMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging) devices can understand when an image or a word is accessed in the brain. This is the essential steps to creating what scientists are calling a Google Hat which will allow computers to send and receive signals in the brain. It is a matter of mapping where and how electrical impulses are created when accessing and storing thoughts. Duplicating this stimulis is actually quite easy and we can currently create states of fear and euphoria. Scientists believe in less then a year we may be able to generate thoughts using electronics.
